I am able to use that time to partake in workshops and seminars that allow me to improve as a student academically but also professionally. I am now able to understand more about the use of productivity apps like Excel, as I was able to attend an extra course that helped.

I have committed my time outside of studies to becoming a gearbox engineer for my university's formula student team — Warwick Racing — gaining a wealth of practical knowledge that goes into building an actual racing car! The time I would have spent working is now used more productively.

The Zero Gravity scholarship has acted as a buffer to my daily expenses. I work as a part-time waiter and it meant I could pick up less shifts, have more time to revise and actually get the chance to make memories with my friends. I didn’t have to worry about the costs associated with starting out at uni, like buying a yearly bus pass.

Without it, I would find it incredibly difficult to get anywhere in my degree. I've used it to help improve my work environment since I spend a long time at a desk. Also, being able to fund clubs and actively participating in university-run events have overall improved my life, with friends as well as confidence.
